With the leniency of online or hybrid courses, our SDSU online students have taken the time and dedication to reach what seemed impossible, possible with a promise of lifelong learning.

Meet one of our outstanding Bachelor’s of Business Administration online graduates, Michael Sedberry. Long commutes and hours in the classroom, while juggling his busy schedule as both a transfer student and a professional working full-time hours, just weren’t possible for him. SDSU online meant he didn’t have to sacrifice a reputable degree and flexibility to make his dreams of higher education achievable.
“While working on my Associate’s degree, I was concerned about how I would pursue a Bachelor’s given my full-time work schedule. The thought of commuting to campus and spending several hours in a classroom every day wasn’t feasible. This program offered exactly what I needed— the opportunity to earn a degree from a respected institution, all while maintaining the flexibility to study from home. It also allowed me to interact with fellow students, creating a balanced and supportive learning environment,” Sedberry said.

Family matters, but you don’t have to sacrifice the sacred time in your little one’s life to make them even prouder of your accomplishments. These SDSU Online students helped set the example for the kids that chasing your dreams is important and accessible with dedication.
“With also being a parent, I now have the time to be part of my children’s lives, which is most important to me. Without this Global Campus Program at SDSU, it would have been impossible to attend a university full-time on-campus, work a full-time job, and take my children to school – all in a single day. This program opened a new for me and my family. Thank you, SDSU family, you guys rock,” Angel Vargas, BS Civil Engineering Online graduate said.

Kristin Rush began her journey with SDSU Online in the fall of 2025, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Child Development. Even amidst a chaotic schedule of working two jobs, being a mother, and serving as caretaker for her own mom, she’s consistent and dedicated in her desire to be an inspiration for her son. Rush explains what keeps her motivated in her journey.
“Remembering that I am the first in my family to go to college and that my son is watching me. I want to provide him with a better quality of life that he so deserves. I want him to understand and have a front row seat to observe that yes, things can get hard, it’s how we choose to respond to them that makes the difference, and that when you are chasing your passion, you have to find a way to push through instead of giving up,” Rush said.
It can seem incredibly daunting to juggle family and work when debating whether to go back to school online. But the victories, whether personal, academic, or career success along the way, are what make it all worth it.
“I chose the online program to balance my academic goals with raising a family, ensuring I am present during my little one’s early years. Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to learn from and connect with exceptional faculty and receive guidance from knowledgeable advisors, which I really enjoyed and appreciated. A huge personal achievement for me was my ILE, in which I conducted research with the potential for publication, something I am very proud of,” said Rawan Iriqat, a recent Bachelor’s in Public Health graduate.
Education is a monumental accomplishment at any age. Whether pursuing higher education fresh out of high school or later in life means you are putting in the effort to invest in yourself and your future.
“A big personal victory for me was being able to continue my education at 42 years old. I had almost lost hope, but Global Campus gave me the opportunity to keep going. Also, knowing the program is accredited through SDSU and part of the CSU system was a huge factor. The degree isn’t labeled as online and carries the same weight and recognition,” said Laurand Osmeni, Computer Engineering graduate.
