In our increasingly interconnected world, the importance of public health goes beyond national boundaries, impacting communities on a global scale. So, now more than ever, public health programs with an integrated cross-border perspective are crucial to addressing complex health challenges that span borders.
At SDSU Global Campus, you can study public health online with a cross-border focus. With 43% of our online Master of Public Health students identifying as Hispanic/Latino and 60% residing within 100 miles of San Diego County, our MPH program reflects and serves the local community’s needs and demographics.
“If your intellectual curiosity drives you to explore complex topics such as healthcare costs, disease outbreaks, and health equity, then SDSU Global Campus is the perfect environment for you,” said program adjunct instructor Louise Gresham. “Our programs offer a comprehensive exploration of these issues, fostering a deep understanding that goes beyond the textbooks.”

Why SDSU Global Campus?
Our Master of Public Health is fully online and designed for early-career professionals in healthcare and related fields. This program emphasizes the intricate dynamics of health science and public policy, with a specific focus on understanding group behaviors and addressing health-related issues in diverse communities.
Students will get to learn from SDSU’s expert instructors, many of whom come from a variety of professional settings such as the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), HMOs, hospitals, managed care agencies, military services, and other academic institutions.
Additionally, students will get hands-on experience through supervised field experience with a public health organization in their own community. Students based in San Diego or surrounding Southern California border areas benefit from the School of Public Health’s collaborative binational research and service projects. These initiatives aim to improve public health conditions and enhance healthcare services on both sides of the border.
